First day traveling - LIMA / Miraflores District

The last 24+ hours have been miserable for me. As luck would have it, I started getting sick right when we were leaving... Marcela managed to catch some sleep on the airport floor during our 14hr layover in Atlanta (was supposed to be 12 but our flight was late),  but for some reason I wasn't able to get more than an hour or two throughout our long day of traveling. Must have been the congested head... We got into Lima around 2am last night and ended up not getting to sleep until about 330. I just woke up (2pm) and am really glad to have slept so much.

Now our hosts are making breakfast. They are a retired couple who are originally from the Andes. The woman speaks some English which is nice for me, but also has been speaking some Spanish with Marcela, so I've been trying to listen and pick up the general topics of conversation and words here and there. Hoping to get better as we go.

We are getting ready for our first day of exploration. We are in the Miraflores District in Lima. Apparently it's pretty awesome. Tonight we move to the airbnb we actually booked. Last night we ended up staying at our hosts house because the bathroom at the other apartment was broken. Marcela is planning for Bolivia already. My little travel agent. :)
